Meet the Therapist!

Welcome! I'm Caitlyn Amstutz, a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in Surprise, Arizona. I specialize in working with individuals, from preteens to adults, to help them navigate and overcome the challenges that trauma often brings. I am deeply passionate about supporting my clients on their healing journeys, and I believe that trauma doesn’t have to define who you are or limit your future. My goal is to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions, process difficult experiences, and develop the coping strategies necessary to move forward with a sense of empowerment and clarity.

Along with trauma work, I also offer support for anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and more. I take a holistic, client-centered approach, tailoring therapy to meet your unique needs and preferences. I truly believe in the capacity for growth and change within every individual, and I work collaboratively with my clients to help them achieve meaningful, long-lasting transformation.

When I’m not in the office, you’ll likely find me spending time with my family, reading a good book, or enjoying the outdoors. Whether it's hiking, camping, or simply taking a walk, being in nature helps me recharge and stay connected to what truly matters. These activities provide me with balance and perspective, and I strive to bring that same sense of grounding into my work with clients.

I am under the direct supervision of Candace Cook, MS, LPC, who is an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners and am a proud affiliate of Christian Counseling Services.
